A little bit of Louly

I am just back from lunch. Pizza. Stuffed. Lots. Good.

A couple made a splash on their wedding day – by emerging from the depths of a lake. Nobody knew they had married earlier at a register office. Guests looked on in shock as Martin Storer and Jo Rees rose from the water in snorkels and wetsuits.  The couple, both 42, had simply warned family and friends to come equipped for the outdoors when they invited them to the spot at Derwentwater in Cumbria. The newlyweds – who love diving and paragliding – hid as they waited for guests to reach the lake, and then dived in. The bride wore a red veil above her goggles and the groom a top hat. Physiotherapy student Mr Storer, from Penrith, said they wanted everyone to have a day to remember. ‘Most guests are outdoors types and we knew they’d feel more comfortable in their everyday clothes,’ he added. 

‘We had planned to paraglide and drop in on them – but that was scotched by the weather.’

Is this what comes with being 42 – or is it a ‘certain type of people’??…….Either way it’s weird to me.

Daniel and I got home last night around 8:20ish (pm) and decided to wash the car because it was so dirty, not because we had left it for ages but we had the privilege of driving past one of those Grit dispensing trucks, and the car got showered with grit! It was just a quick-hot-soapy-scrub down of the car to get it clean and then a drive round the block to help it dry, Daniel thought it would be a good idea considering how cold it has been here recently we didn’t want any ice patches on it. Anyway, one of the neighbours came home as Daniel was mid-wash and called out “You gotta be having a laugh haven’t you??!!” We did seem a little crazy washing our car on a Sunday evening at 8:30pm in the dark…… hmmm……very suspicious! Lol. I just hope we haven’t been deemed the crazy neighbours!
